04 2.5I, oil leak at dip stick/block

I just joined, and did post under the "new guy" location, but wanted to get his out to all as soon as possible
My car has a small, but irritable leak at the point the did stick tube enters the block. Just enough to cause a "hot oil smell" and drip 1 drop per week on the floor. Car has about 50k on the odo.
any one experience this. I hate to just drop it off at the dealer and be at their mercy

Hi welcome from me in Scotland .Most of the regulars are on the new forest run this weekend so forum might be a bit quiet .I have a 1.9 z3 so will probably be different. But if coming from bottom of dipstick tube. It's probably the seal had a quick look on realoem.com I didn't have your car exact detail but dipstick assembly on that sort of age look a bit like this
