So,
I have a 1998 Z3M roadster and I think some of the toolkit is missing.
I am not sure about exactly what the toolkit comprises of and I am looking for guidance.
Please examine the attached picture for any missing items and perhaps post your own if you feel yours will expose my shortcomings!!

I think there is at least 2 items missing from the formed outlines.
1. A "Z' shaped item - top right.
2. An additional spanner - top left, you can see where the mouth of this open-ended chap would live when compared to the one below.

I should point out that the picture taken of the trunk area has been rotated - the rear of the car is to the left of the picture! The central battery box lip is visible at the bottom of it.

Thanks,

Andy.

Hi,
I already have & he has supplied what he can for me.
In fact it was his suggestion to try this approach.

Kindest regards,

Andy.

If you type bmw Z3M toolkit into google and go on images there are a few there.
Looks like small box 10mm I think,
Z shaped bar to turn box spanners.
And looks as if the long box spanner isn't the correct one + you have one extra spanner.

The wheel brace and jack are on the other side.

Hi,
Now that is interesting!
There appears to be a space, bottom left, the same as mine.
However, what is that Z shaped do-dah, top left???
It seems to have a longer socket/tube spanner fitted as well!

Andy.

Yup,
Confirms my thoughts about the additional spanner space!
In fact it may be that the smaller spanner hiding below my plier-wrench is out of place!!
Many thanks!

OK,
Just taken another image of my setup and it is different to the ones posted.
I have an additional spanner space - slowly losing the will to live with this!

Nop, the little spanner hiding below the pliers is to small for the form on the left side!

Hi,
Thanks for this - it really helps.
Didn't notice your post until now.

With regard to the supposed missing spanner I have gone through this myself and after looking at loads of pics of tool trays it appears BMW did several different layouts over the years but I have come to the conclusion that they didn't actually issue a spanner for that slot and it came from factory like that. My best educated guess at the size of spanner required is a 17/19mm which I have yet to source in BMW flavour although I haven't been looking for a while so maybe one is out there.

Hi,
I think this is a fools errant!
There appears to be as many toolkit layouts as vehicles!
I will attempt to get as much as I can but fear all the spaces will never be occupied!

Thanks for all the input!!
