Hi Folks,

A wee introduction form me....new to BMW and I've just purchased a long admired 2016 Z4 20i.

Travelled 400 miles from Dunbartonshire to buy it and all seems good mechanically. Just spent 2 days cleaning it.... a good wash, clay, Autoglym SRP, Meguires Ultimate Polish and finished off with a coat of Sonax Brilliant Shine and happy with the outcome.

Looking forward to some better weather and learning more about the E89 from these pages.

Cheers !

Hi, and welcome from me near Lincoln. You’ve got a good shine on that!

Hi and welcome.
Just watch those wheels. They are 326Ms and do not like potholes (especially with runflat tyres).
2016. Must be one of the last ones made; I presume it has a good spec as they seemed to throw a few things at the 'run out' year cars.

The shadow paint on the wheels does look good!

I also have a 2016 20i E89.

Thanks to all for your kind welcome !
The shine came at the expense of a sore arm but I think it was worth it :)
The car came with the wheels as they are...immaculate, I reckon that they must have been re-done just before it went to the dealer where I bought it.
I think it may well be the shadow paint and I have been warned about the potholes and runflats 😬
Seems to be have a good spec but as I am new to BMW, I'm still figuring it all out !

Thanks again for the welcome.

Being a BMW, if has anything more than a steering wheel, it was a cost option! ;)
