Wanted 2.8i Prefacelift - Black Or Grey Preferably or E86 Z4 Coupe

It is very likely I will be in the market for a new Z3.

I'm a bit fussy but after a few years of owning Zs, I know what I'm after.

Requirements:

- Manual
- TU (1999 T or V reg usually)
- 2.8i prefacelift
- Black (Cosmos, Schwartz) or Sterling Grey
- Passenger Airbag
- Sub 100k miles (not essential)

The best car for me is something that needs new brakes, bushings, suspension, etc but has a good quality hood without leaks, solid bodywork and chassis.

If you are thinking of selling or know someone that might be, please send them my way.

Edit:

I could be tempted with an E86 Z4 Coupe also in Black, like my heart.

Absolute fine Dave. Not even a sare shooder.

Went over some standing water going too quick for s*** conditions and binned it.

All front end damage in the crash but she's got secret scars underneath.

Back in possession and being repaired.

We'll see.

I'm planning to sell my Cosmos Black one when I fix the heater blower! Not doing enough miles in it. Paint and hood are good except for rust on the nearside front wing quarter panel. Pic below is old (and probably a bit flattering) as it's garaged for winter. It now has style 68 wheels. New front brakes, rebushed rear end but the diff and steering are a bit sloppy and there's a big rip in the driver's seat. Does have sports seats though. Will post more pics if you're interested. It's in Cambs and £3000 will buy it!

Wont be a Tu its a 1997 still nice motor 79k at last mot.
I think Stevie is ideally looking to find a Tu ( twin vanos ) engine so very last of the pre face-lift 2.8 on a T reg and some V reg
This engine was also fitted to early face-lift model before phased out by 3.0 engine.
