I just noticed that my Z3 top is losing the stitching starting in the lower left corner (drivers side) next to the plastic back window. I can stick my fingers through the seam, and touch the inside of the car. Is this repairable? Does anybody sew or repair this, or am I going to have to buy a new top?

Not sure in the States but there are guys over here in the UK that do repairs like this so presume there will be over there although I understand you might have to travel far with it being such a big country but that gives you a big excuse to drive the zed. ;)

this is a fairly easy fix...

either you can pull the area apart yourself and get some waterproof fabric glue or you can take it to a marine or automotive trimmer...I cant imagine this costing anymore than about $100 to repair and should really be less as there are no "parts" involved and a good trimmer should be able to re-stitch this in under 2 hours no probs...

Well I had it looked at by two separate parties and it's going to have to be replaced. It's lost too much stitching all over, and it has shrunk to the point where it is pulling up away from the door windows.

I'll let you know what happens. I'm pricing replacement plus labor, and it's quite expensive.
