Wow. That really looks good. Well done. Was all the stress worth it now.

MOT. I assume you'll need to change the V5 before going for an MOT? Otherwise they'll test it as a z3
DVLA are insisting on my change request that I get it MOT'd before they change the V5 so will have to get mine tested as Z3....will see how that goes

Wish both you and @Pond good luck with your MOTs Keep us posted.
I am just waiting for a new steering column cover to be delivered. I want to fit that before the MOT as don't want any excuse for questions from the tester!

MOT booked for this Thursday 14th.
I looked up how much RFL my car is (as never taxed it since I've owned it). £735.00 a year!!!!
Oh great.
This car keeps getting more expensive by the hour!

Steering column cowl fitted.
All wheel arch liners and extensions fitted. Not a pleasant job.
Bootlid adjusted for the 300,000th time (as I changed the spacers behind the brackets so of course it all moved).

Glovebox latch glued in place, as the screws were pulling out of the GRP with use.

New stainless steering wheel machine screws purchased and fitted, as the originals were made of Chinese 'cheese' steel and were rounding the hex heads already.

Is it not £430?

Nope. Mine says it is 228g/km which just falls into band 'L', so £735.00. If it had been registered 30 days earlier it would be half!

Thanks 'Rachel from accounts'.

Doesn’t seem right to me. All the 3.0 are showing up as £430, or less if they are older when I check.

Ah maybe I read it wrong. I read the * as before 23rd March 2001. If it's £430 that is just very expensive, not a complete rip off. Happy days. I shall find out once the MOT has been obtained (hopefully).

Well done. You've made it (literally)!
I really didn't think this day would come, ever. I still don't believe I got this far, as you well know.
I can honestly say it has been the most challenging project I have ever done. I am just not cut out to do this type of thing. Give me a patch of mud and I can build a house much easier.

Yeah. You actually drove it yet? I mean an actual drive. Not just to the MOT station.
No not yet. I want to get the headlight covers on first as it doesn't look 'finished' without them.
Today has been busy with work due to the weather!
I bought a period "A" suffix reg number today aswell.

We need a video walkaround, some photos with many of them in details and an aerial drone video of this vehicle, else it does not exist.
congratulations on your journey and enjoy
