Tony's going all winter rubber

My Skoda,s winter wheels sitting in my hall cupboard all re balanced going to hold off on fitting them as long as I can so got good deep tread to deal with proper winter when it comes hoping not to fit them before December but if the weather turns they will be on .
@t-tony remember that winter tyres are far more ' green ' than summer tyres and will need a couple of hundred miles run in period to disperse the moulding releasing agents from the tyres surface.

Second reason for getting them on before it gets cold mate, first one being I'm not risking salt getting into my split rims.

They're £54 each all inc. mate. We get decent feedback from customers at work. And they'll only be on for the winter.

You're dead right mate it's bloody loppy. I took a risk and left the hose out this evening in trust there won't be a frost. I hope to give it a swill before Gary and Izzy arrive late morning. I believe it is still grey under all the crud. I'll let you know Dave =))

By lunchtime today I had new boots on the original wheels.

Finally, after loosening and then retorqueing the wheel bolts to 130nm i fitted the new silver set of nut/bolt caps.

I also checked the tyre pressures (bloody sad that we have to though).
First impressions driving home tonight, they are a much more comfortable ride and also much quieter. More later.

Certainly will mate. By the way, these have 9.0mm of tread so I should get a good few winters out of them.
