I was hoping I could get some help, as when I asked on another Z forum, my thread didn't get a reply.
The other week, I was out with my mum in my Zed with the roof down. As I was putting the roof back up, mum opened the door and got out, when she shut the door, my roof just froze and would move. I managed to pull the tab in the boot and was able to get the roof moved near the close position. I then put the pull tab back and the roof then lowered the final bit and locked into place.
When I try to put the roof down now, it unlocks, lifts a wee bit and then just stops. I think it's all confused and I don't know what to do, so it knows where it is to go up and down again. The motor is fine, as it was a brand new unit when I bought the car in Nov last year.
I've tried searching online to find out how to sort it, but there are thousands of hits on Google, but the first 25 seems to be related to a faulty motor.
Admins/Mods , I am sorry for posting outside the correct section, but I know most of the regular UK members primarily are Z3 owners and don't typically view the Z4 section.
Cheers,
Felix
