Steve that extra padding is great, takes a few years off the feel of the wheel
I found it makes it appear smaller too. Its obviously not but it looks more at home instead of borrowed from a bus

One of the best improvements IMO to the interior a Z3 owner can do, yours looks particularly good NODZED with the red inserts plus the differance in the feel makes it doubly worthwhile.
