OK peeps I have a set of Eibach B12 Pro-Kit Coil Springs and Shocks en-route (was SACHS but out of stock). Top mounts, do you suggest I change them also and if so does it matter what type I get, will any type fit? Front, do I need similar and if so as per the previous Q.

Many thanks

Andy

Rear shock mounts tend to take more of a hammering than the fronts. Front's don't do that much comparatively.

Personally if I was doing what you were I would do them as well. We fit Lemforder from GSF in the 'Shed, but you could have a look at the Meyle HD ones if you wanna spend a little more.

Great info Gaz. Many thanks for the quick response. I'll Google and take a look.

You want to bear in mind Andy, unless you're going into track days etc. the originals on your car have lasted well so OEM replacements should last equally as long. As Gaz said Lemforder are more than good enough.

Tony.

Or stick with the existing mounts for now, change the struts etc and take it to somewhere that knows what they're doing with wheel alignment gear. If the camber/castor are OK, stick with new Meyle or Lemforder, if the camber's out try some of these

My Z3 had both front struts leaning to the offside according to our nearest ATS, fitted the new camber plates and soon cured that. Makes the steering a bit more positive, too, but not too harsh considering it's a rose-type joint and not a squidgy bit of rubber.

A bit of camber dialled in on the front makes a big difference.

Should have said, if you go down the camber plate route, make sure you get the deep ones like should show up on the clicky link, there are flatter ones out there but they don't fit the Z3 struts properly. How do I know? That's the type I got first, you need the extra space to make room for the strut top. May be different for yours, don't know. Also, being an inch or so shorter it drops the suspension that much lower, too far for me, not enough clearance for some of these bumpy roads up here. There should be a couple of pictures hereabouts to show how far over my struts had to be adjusted to get them straight.
