Yeah, welcome from me too. There are a lot of Z3 1.9 owners out there who should be able to point you in the right direction.

Tony.

Welcome. I have the same car as you. Same engine. But I've just looked at mine and I can't figure out your pipes.

Is the leak (if it is one) coming from the narrow metal tube? Or is it leaking somewhere else and just collecting in that corner?

On my car there's narrow pipes (half inch or so) in front of the radiator. They don't follow the same route as your's but, in my case, they are power steering.

But when I wash/hose the car water does collect around that area.

Check the liquid. It it oil or water?

Hi thanks for reply, its coming from where pipe meets that box shaped junction. Feels like power steering fluid. I shall continue to investigate.

M44 Engine 1.9 if that leak ois power steering fluid check out the rubber hose ends where they clamp to the reservoir and the rack. Rubber tends to rot away and develop leaks. If they have factory compression clamps on once you get them off replace with some stainless jubilee clips with new hoses.

The power steering cooling pipe does suffer from rust. If its original, could be the problem. About £100 for my last one.
