2000 Z3 M Roadster. Alpine alarm system made for BMW dealership installation. Separate fob with (1) Set button (2) disarm button (3) red led.
Good day.....As the title says, within 5 seconds of setting the alarm it goes off. There is no chirp when setting like there used to be. Attempted to reset alarm per instructions in book. Did not get the alarm to chirp indicating that is went into the "learn" mode. I have changed the car battery if that makes any difference. After the alarm goes off and I disarm it the car red led flashes 3 times rapidly indicating that glass breakage/attempted glass breakage. I have unplugged the hood sensor and tested the door sensors. All seems ok. The key to this seems to be that the alarm does not chirp when setting. Anyone have any ideas?
Update: I had the chirp toggle turned off. It now chirps when setting.
