These can be strange things (reminds me of joining one of those dating sites for us sad old single has-beens) I used to have bikes a 1982 Honda 750 KZ which I bought new in 1982 and sold last year and a XV1100 which I also sold last year, It was a custom job with a trick paint job and custom Green Leather button back seat with Sissy bar. at one time I also had a Toyota Celica Supra which I absolutely adored but that went about 7 years ago. Anyway I managed to get a little money together and thought what toy I should award myself and truthfully I decided on the Z3 it has such graceful lines. in a way it reminds me of the AC Cobra with the flares over the arches. so in July/August I bought my Toy: A Montreal Blue 2.8 which was about the 5 or 6th I took out I tried the smaller engine and it did not quite gel for me I then tried a 2.2 and it seemed slow to respond and someone had put a non standard air filter on it (he was apparently in the RAF as an officer) anyway when I took My Blue Toy out I just loved the sound and the pull and, and, and. what I have since found out is that it has a stainless steel exhaust and that makes the note deeper apparently.
I started to have a little fun and found that I wanted to understand more how the car handles so decided that I would like to take it to the track for a track day (I am now signed up for two with the BMWCC) anyway a friend of mine said I was mad as it would be uninsured and if I wrote of my toy how would I feel......Cutting a long story short I saw his point so I fixed the problem I found another Black one which is also a 2.8 (doesn't sound as good though, not got the stainless exhaust) anyway now I have two Z3's aged within six months of each other and both peaches to drive.
I suppose I should say I am a single fella (unfortunately! any takers considered "if they look my type" :ympray: ) in my later working years but do not act it. I was a project manager for a number of years before it all got rather tick box and boring. Now trying to find a new career, in property all at the wrong time of course.
I enjoy a good time and great company and that is why when I was watching the Horwood house Zfest posts I put myself forward to try and help make it something special. You get out of life in proportion to the efforts you are prepared to put in.
I would especially like to thank Ragtop for the introduction to the site ^^ and also to Gzhyde for giving a newbie the chance to help out! (*)
PS I need some names for the toys so suggestions please? /
