Here's a shot of the National Capitol Area (Maryland, Virginia, DC) BMW Club cars at the start of the annual Pie Run. We start at the Catoctin Mountain Orchard to pick up pies, then press on, southward, along the Blue Ridge mountains and through some excellent twisty roads through the Virginia horse county (yes, they still hunt fox) to the Amish butcher, and still further south to Madison, Virginia (after James Madison) for a little snack at the Bavarian Inn.
The new (to me) Z3 faired well. Nothing fell off or broke in 400 7/10's miles, over almost 12 hours in the car. We kept up with the new V8 M3's pretty well, too, until they went to 9/10's. Then, they were just...gone. Better yet, the next day, while cleaning up, I found a Dinan label on the computer connection. The wonders of used cars are not to be discounted. And, Cheers to my wife, Barbara, for navigating the whole day and not getting car sick! What a good sport.
