She was in pristine condition when we left UK but after a 1000 miles has a few layers of dust and flies - car is a bit dirty as well.

I'm sure we stopped at that very spot, fabulous!!
Late response as we only got back Wednesday - it was just above the reservoir on the Gimsel.
Update summary
We clocked 2800 miles in all over 16 days. Drive took us from UK to:
1. Reims for one night.
2. Mulhouse for one night.
3. Andermatt for one night. Drive to here included Lake Lucern, Sarnem,Meiringen, Gimsel Pass and Furka Pass.
4. Bardolino, Lake Garda for 7 nights including the full circuit of the Garda and a short drive to Verona.
5. Cap d'Antibes, Cote D'Azur for 3 nights.
6. Macon for one night.
7. Reims again for a night then home.

Positives
Car performed superbly - averaged 33mpg under varying driving conditions but the car never blinked once.
Top down driving in brilliant sunshine for 14 days.
Great views, places, driving, food, wine and people.
Negatives ( but only minor)
Long drive back on uninteresting autoroute. Weather turned after Lyon and it rained in Macon and Reims which didn't help.

Stunning scenery... 33mpg is pretty good considering some of those hills!
I was pleasantly surprised with mileage - ok it is the 1.9 but lowest I got was 31 highest 34. Conditions varied from the passes, to motorways at ~80mph and sitting in a few long jams (for anybody who does Lake Garda - don't go near Gardaland theme parks especially at a weekend).
