Thanks Zorg, a bit deterred by the distance (500+ miles round trip!!)- it looks to be worth the money, but I do understand that the fitting kit can be expensive (?), so need to check on that side of things. Good that, you are in no rush, so will get back to you if the idea looked to be a 'goer'. (The only way to get it back to Norfolk would be to fit it to the car, which is a problem. Certainly don't want to risk any sort of carrier who might damage it.) . Anyway, Very many thanks again for the offer. Cheers for now, Richard

You can "fix" it to a car without the fitting kit. It has been done. Just fit the 2 screws into the front roof rail and then put a ratchet strap round the roof and car.

Hi, Thanks for the message and I guess the main thing , or things, pleural , is to ask: a) the price?, and b) where you are ? Having just bought a good car at long last, I am now facing the reality of what it's likely to cost extra to get a roof, and the practicality of storing the darn thing over Summers!
Still, no harm in 'wanting' - just 'getting' may be the problem!
Today is the 'big day, as will be 'legal' on the road at last being T & I'd on the 1st of August - can't wait!
Hope to hear back from you when convenient, Cheers, Richard (ps; What colour too?)

I've got a flawless roof with fixing kit, plus stand and cover currently for sale if you're still looking.

Hi there, ok so I can answer all that for you! Price, it's up for £1250 as it comes with everything (fitting kit, stand and cover) but I'll take a good offer, it's Silver in colour and flawless- not a mark on it, storage is actually amazing on the stand....tucks away onto the side wall of a garage and is only about a foot and a half in actual depth. The stand is an absolute must. I'm down in Chichester West Sussex. I'm only selling as we're taking the car to Spain to live....if we were staying here with it there's no way I would sell, it makes the car year round an easy drive, the soundproofing is amazing, and you're massively elongating your soft top life as it won't be getting wet constantly.

Hi, As I rather feared the cost is well beyond my 'means' although it does sound wonderfully useful. I can well believe that it offers much more habitability throughout the year, but reckon I will just have to put up with the extra noise when it rains or is just too cold for pleasureable motoring!!

Thanks again and have fun with the plans for living abroad. If we were a bit younger we wouldnt hesitate to move to France,
All the best, Richard

' ..taking the car to Spain to live..' @Newbieowner. I hope it's got aircon, when it's hot you can melt if you have to stop with the top down.We used to live in Spain, it's a great place to drive a zed.👍 My old Z3 at Javea.
