I fitted an e46 one to mine: less than £20 on eBay





can be opened too revealing a compartment inside, and is a place to mount my gate and garage door remotes too so I can operate whilst driving up to them.

i was thinking of doing the same.

Can you give some more info on how you mounted it please?
