Atwell-Wilson Museum.

Whilst we were in Wiltshire last week we visited the above Transportation Museum in a village called Calne. Its a privately owned collection with some really nice vehicles and memorabilia. I believe they supplement their income by using some of their vehicles as wedding limousines and for use in TV shows. Here are a few pictures.

I owned few of these models over the years, including the Mk.1 Manta and the Mini Clubman Estate. My one had a full length Webasto sunroof.
Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Other things nearby too - Lacock Abbey is the home of modern photography with a small museum. And Castle Combe, well, is Castle Combe. Had a short honeymoon there at The Old Manor and been back since, one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Ever. Afternoon Tea if a visitor is pricey but well recommended.

Oh Lordy. Westonbirt Arboretum ? My dads name is on a plaque on a bench there.

I'm going to shuttup now otherwise I'm going to come across as a right know-it-all. It's just that . . . well, I grew up nearby, its all the places I knew as a lad . . .
