I bought my 2000 Z-3 new and now have 262,000 miles on it. I'm from Iowa and now a resident on Big Pine Key, Florida.
My question concerns fuse # 9. When in the radio works but the battery drains in a couple of days sitting idle. Any ideas why?

Hi and welcome from me in Scotland :welcome: .

Does your zed have an original head unit or is it aftermarket.
If its an aftermarket pull it out check its wired up right as this can be an issue on z3 models.
Stephen.

Unfortunately I'm a mechanical gerbil so have no idea regarding your question but I couldn't resist the opportunity to congratulate you - not just on owning the car from new but also having travelled over a 1/4 of a million miles in it. Respect

It's original. But I'll check the wiring, Thanks
There is a switched live (ignition fed) and a permanent live to these units make sure they work as they should.

Similar here too. My first car, a Mini, sported a bog standard wireless sat on the dash, next to a bare speaker (no pod or surround) twisted wire connection et al. Late night listening to Radio Buxemgirl. Those were the days.

Tony.

ps. These days it’s listening to 103.1 The Wolf via the internet when we’re in Kissimmee. Or visiting No Name Pub.;)

It certainly is. We quite like the "Blue Hole" too. I went salt water fly fishing out of Big Pine a few years ago with a guide.
