BMW i8

Saw on the Eastern BMW Facebook page, that they were getting in the first production i8 and were inviting everyone in to come and view it - it would be rude to refuse, wouldn't it

Really impressed with the styling of it and I would like one going on looks alone.
Unfortunately, it is a static display and there were no test drives, not even for staff

It will still be on show tomorrow (7th June), then it has to go back

It's a cracking looking car Neil, but I just can't help think it's crying out for a V8/10 engine. A car that good looking deserves to sound like it looks!

Don't forget that not all USB devices will charge from all USB sockets. Best to get the emergency power replenishment kit just in case you run out of batteries on the way to work... Fours hours of cranking per 200 meters of charge.

I was just speaking with a guy from BMW here in Hobart. He said that only 5 dealers in Australia will stock the i8 as the cost to install the infrastructure to support the vehicle exceeds AUD one million! Damn, I was gunna order one tomorrow!

BMW has no plans to make a full-fat M version of its new hybrid sports car, the i8, but that hasn't stopped us from making our very own virtual version...
