Hi everyone, I have a problem with my Roadster which I hope someone can help with.
1. It runs fine until it warms up, then it starts to misbehave, the engine cuts out when travelling but starts up straightaway, the car jerks like it is gasping for breath, and wont respond to the accelerator. It will also back fire and the revs become erratic.

2. I have popped it into my garage but the engine management computer wont respond to the kit. I have also my own BM Multi system scanner, but this also fails to connect.

Has anyone got and ideas of the issue with the engine, which I think has something to do with the cooling system/censors?
Could you offer help re the fact that the EMC wont respond so cant pull off any codes, do I need to look for an older code reader, as my scanner has worked in the past but i did do a recent software up date, and hasnt worked since

Many Thanks

Keith

Hi Keith,

Are the garage connecting to the multi-point OBD connector under the bonnet? If they're connecting to the one under the dash, that may be the problem. The symptoms should definitely throw some codes.

Regards, Keith.
