Body kits

can any one tell me when purchasing a body kit, say like door sills wings and front splitters and such things do they take the place of original parts. In other words do you take off old sills and through them away or do you fit the kit over the top of them.

Depends on the body kit, but usually they replace the panels. Some of the kits may require parts to be bonded on to existing panels though.

Thanks I would think that the place I'm getting it from will advise on it. Was just thinking that I wanted to sort body out in new year. I've got the respray sorted family member has a spray shop but to save on cost I'm hoping to do a lot of the donkey work myself to save on cost. I'm a tight so and so lol.
