I was looking at my bonnet roundel and it looks a fake, so was going to replace it they seem to cost about 25 30 quid or so.
Saw this vid from GazHyde https://zroadster.org/threads/removing-bmw-hood-badge-roundel.896/ on how to remove the roundel great thats easy, then it dawned on me, I would spend £30, park up and some scallywag would pop it off in a flash.
So long story short, got another fake for £2.95 inc post, looks much better than the one on at present,
is that so wrong?

I've found my bonnet badge to be a magnet for stones, so no point in paying out extra on genuine when they keep getting destroyed!

I found the replacement I bought off eBay got dented very easily.. I think when I next replace I will get a decal to refresh the laquer peeling oem roundel I have kept somewhere.

Fake wheel badges seem to stonechip within days and look worse IMO

Somebody said to me once 'buy cheap, buy twice'
But I could buy up to 10 times, I know it does not look as good as the real thing and I don't like to skimp at all, but I was worried about how easy it was to nick.
