Brembo Calipers - Standard on Sport?

Excuse the potentially noob question (i have tried searching) but are these Brembo Calipers standard on the M Sport?

Can' t seem to find a conclusive answer anywhere.

100% not fitted to any Z3 as standard. Are they covers?

Just gave them a wee tap and they are indeed plastic!!!

Not sure i can live with that, bit boy racer. Might leave for a while and see how i feel.

calipers on mine are ATE which I think were standard on all non M cars. They are just simple castings but can look okay if painted.

Here's how I did mine back in February. Other colour combinations are available.

The grotty things as they came of the car.

Cleaned and ready for painting.

First a coat of red oxide on the bare metal, not strictly necessary but old habits die hard !

Then a coat or three of blue calliper paint.

And, the finished articles.
If you wonder what the inside looks like, well, here it is.
