Do I need to buy from BMW or is purchasing one from somewhere like GSF car parts okay?

the price difference seems to be huge but wary of not buying original.

Thank you!

Always best to go for oem brands for sensors in particular maf sensors although I have had success using Hass Brand cam shaft sensors, usual advice is use Bosch or Siemens which were oem fitments. Cheap brands on ebay should be avoided, they rarely work or last long, been there done that, paid twice.

If it's bad and set a code then it needs replacing as it's required by the engine DME as it measures the position of the camshaft to enable the engine to run.

Can I just check if this the correct thing to replace for the code 070 on the creator 310.

The ones from other places look different.

Sorry just don’t want to waste money on the wrong item.

Looks like you have a 1.9 M44 engined version that has a long lead on the camshaft sensor. To be sure of the correct part consult Real OEM parts site using the last seven letters and numbers of your cars Vin number and check under the engine parts diagrams for the sensor. Synter should also check if you are buying from them.

Link for Real Oem here just put your last seven of the Vin Number in the Seial No box and it will bring back the entire parts listing for your car as it left the factory
