Lotherton Hall - Event Cancellation
Over the years this venue has proved the most demanding in terms of time, rule changes and paperwork. After dragging their repricing structure over a number of months this year. Lotherton Hall and Leeds Council have issued new charges for events in the last two week. Doubling the cost to us and limiting the display cars to 450 including SCITP staff, traders, first aid and security. We do not have any sponsors for this event. As such, the venue is now not viable as an event going forward. The risk of significant financial loss is too high to continue.
I have been trying to contact the venue for a final statement and they have not replied for over 1 week. In the unlikely event that they change their minds over cost/conditions we will re-engage.
Our efforts will now be on Newby Hall and Castle Howard with which we have firm financial agreements. Suggestions for a 2021 Summer venues are welcome.
