hello all, just wondering if anyone in here has covers for their z3 and if there were any specific brands to look at and where to buy them. Thanks.

I just bought a cheepie car cover from Amazon back in 2019 that I still use, now daily because I lost my garage and have a car port.

I don't think Amazon caries it anymore, but I can tell you it was a Duck Covers Double Defender Car Cover for sedans up to 14'2".
I googled it and it can be found at Walmart currently, perhaps you can find it or a similar item in the UK?
Here is a similar one

I have Specialised Covers on three cars.

They're not cheap, are excellent in quality, and fit perfectly. A number of well thought options are also available. British made with a great customer service team; they even sent me updates from the machine room!!! None of your made in Chinacestershire garbage.

My experience is the covers have a high beathing quality. The only downside is that if left without periodic cleaning (cover and car) mine seem to let very fine particles of dust through -- although on the flip side that's probably a testament to their ability let moisture out. Equally, my experience isn't probably a standard one, as we've had years of building works around us.

I've had the oldest for around eight years, its permanently on a car stored outside and its going strong. The Z3 has only had one winter worth under the cover, but when lifted this spring there was no obvious issues relating to trapped moisture.

The downside --- they are an investment and not cheap.

Use a CarCoon Size 3 L meself. Not cheap, but worth it to keep my owned from new (August 1998) Z3 2.8 in tip top condition since not having a garage (did once, then married, kids etc  ;) ). Z spends 6 months full-time in it when SORN, and comes out to play in drier weather occasionally.

As infamously entered in a pic thing (P.O.T.M June 2024) on here at post 4 in this thread:
