POLL Ceramic-coating? Yeah or Nay?

Should I ceramic-coat these stainless steel manifolds (headers in US-speak)? Give your reasons.

It will cost around £1000 as I would only want to use Zircotec. Their coating, application technique and customer service seems to be the only company that gets good reviews.

BTW, what a job it was to get them off. At one stage, I thought the engine was going to have to come out.

If you’ve got the money then go for it. Will you see the results when all is back together - or will most of them be hidden? Excuse my ignorance about the mechanics! Good luck!

How much more efficient is the coating compared to cheaper lagging? A grand is a lot of useful money if the gains are not day and night in comparison. A lot neater solution though.

You have spent an awful lot of time trying to control air intake temps, ceramic coating the manifolds will help reduce the under bonnet temps.

If the benefits were so profound then why don't beautifully engineered cars I.e.Bentley, Aston Martin, McLaren etc not do theirs where the extra cost would be invisible?
