Changed door,airbag light on.

Right changed the door on my Z4 only to find airbag light is on.Tryed clearing it on OBD reader and did not even show up any codes .So changed airbag back over to my old one but still no joy.Anybody had this problem.

Strange that the light was on and no fault codes the act of the light staying on ( for whatever reason) should generate a fault code of what is causing it.

Try checking the connector for the door harness on the "A" pillar Stephen. I had an airbag fault a couple of months ago and it needed the connector taken apart and some electrical contact cleaner spray to make a good contact, then all was well. Did you have the ignition on at any time while the door was off?

I no nothing really wired ,scan a couple of times still showed nothing.

It a bit of a pain to get to as you no ,but good idea try that over the weekend.cheers for the headsup Tony and no never even put key in the ignition all the time the door was off.

8mm 1/4" drive socket and ratchet to loosen the screw, but you know that! ;)=))

Good practice to disconnect the battery when doing any work involving SRS system btw. If you didn't already.
