Went out to the Z to go to work today and I didn't get very far ........ :p
As when I put the key in to start it all I got was a click click sound :(
I'm just home and I've just tried it again but it's still the same :(
Alan will be home soon so he will have a look at it ;)
The Z ran fine yesterday :)

I had almost the same this morning :(
Kept the key turned and it then slowly slowly turned over and I got the engine going.
Thought about it all day and went had another look, checked the boot light and then noticed that the light switch had been knocked and the internal light was on.
This is after I bought a new set of jump leads to start my dads car yesterday. I might just keep them handy.

Had the same on Saturday. Lack of use doesn't help in my case. I need to buy a battery conditioner. Don't you use your car most days Shelley?

A decent battery's life seems to be between 5 and 10 years. If the car has these starting problems, the battery is knackered, almost for sure.:)

Get it changed for peace of mind. You don't need it letting you down.

My OEM battery lasted for 10 years. Replaced it 6 years ago with another OEM battery and it has been fine since. How old is your Z4 Shelly?

12 years is very good, worth pricing an OEM replacement if keeping the car long term. Others might disagree, but I have found OEM last best.:)
