Coolant flush

As my thermostat is off the car i would like to flush the coolant system out anyone got any tips and advice thanks

Without using additives the best way to go is just fitting a hose pipe to it and just running the water through till it comes out clean the other end. If you know which way the water flows you could flush it in the opposite way to which it normally flows, this normally can flush out any crap what has built up in there.
