Thanks to @zedonist's suggestion, you can now show your location in the world (pending that location being added)!

I have only added certain locations so far, and will add countries by request (as it takes a few minutes to set each one up!). I'll try and keep this list up to date as I add them.
  • America
  • Britain
  • Hong Kong
  • Canada
  • Australia
  • Belgium
  • New Zealand
  • Romania
  • The Netherlands
  • France
  • South Africa
I'll take requests from members to add countries by posting in this thread.

A couple of important notes:
  • As usual it's entirely optional, so only set it if you want to. :writing:
  • After making your selection it can take up to 30 minutes for the banner to show (automated process).
  • Everyone who is in a current location group, will still be in that location group!
  • You are tagging the location of your car, not your home nationality. This is done for the obvious reason of finding people in your part of the world. So a Brit with a Zed in Hong Kong, would be a 'Hong Kong Zed'. Simples.
  • If I see any obviously incorrect groups selected I'll switch them over (polite warning!)
  • I won't be sub-dividing the UK in to England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales because that means I'll have to break down the US in to States, and so on. Too much work at the moment!
  • You can be in a regional group, and an interest group - so M44 Massive & British Zeds is valid.
If you prefer me to set your location, just let me know in this thread.

1. Go to your 'Personal Details' panel

2. From 'Your Country Affiliation' drop down choose where your Zed lives.

3. Scroll down then click 'Save'. I can take up to 30 minutes for the change to occur, and then display your location banner.

If Scotland gains Independence, will we get a Scottish Zeds banner? :ymdevil:

I knew that question would come up! We will of course respect changing national boundaries, just as long as we don't have to pay to get in like we do in Wales

Most Americans consider New Jersey in a class by itself.Unfortunately, its not a desirable class. (Unless you live here.) I once had a lady from Kansas City ask me if I was in the mob.

When people ask me this I always answer:"You don't really want to know." I love to watch the reaction on their faces.
I know you're not Frankie, otherwise i would have seen you at our meetings............

Hi Gary,
the idea it's just great , but for some of us, being the only country representant on the map, it's a little bit of sadly "man- team".:grumpy:
I hope sometime in the close future we will have some partners to proudly put the flag; in my case I know there are about 110 registered Z3, but I don't know how many are really loving the car in the way we (the people on the forum) love it !? :)

NO,NO, NO. You're the LEADER from Romania. The first one, the vanguard. We've already seen your beautiful workmanship and attention to detail. And the artistic concept that led you to install the type of timepiece that belonged in that car. You've already demonstrated the love you have for your car. Don't let your countrymen down. You don't know how many of those 110 z3 owners have already had interest in the forum and you. Be the start of something. Sooner than you think, there may be other z owners contacting you to start and head the Romanian Zeds. Those other owners have their Zs for a reason. Now they have you to follow. Ask Gary about giving you a separate section. Frankie

The saying here in Canada is" the view is best when you're the lead dog" From what I've seen of your handi-work you have a pretty clear view so Frankie must be right. Gather up your team and make a run for it. JIM
