Hi and welcome .your front fender looks a little wrong I think it's from another model it should have brake cooling ducts not fog lights.

Good morning Gents and thanks for your quick response ... what a pleasure
I know absolutely nothing on the History of the Car and have no track record for the Z3M
It came from a Guy that flips cars ..
bmwZ3 184.jpg
He is very tight lipped
I did notice that the front seemed different than most other M cars ... now I need the correct one .. Gotcha

The turn lights are usually clear as well,it would just make me check the front for accident damage .it might be just a little fender bender ,head light damage ? But would be good to check it out

A picture of under the hood to confirm if it has the S52 engine would be good too.

You have the earlier of the 2 "M" engines used in the M Roadster in the US, which produces around 240bhp. If I recall you got that engine because of your strict emissions rules, and the rest of the world got the S50 engine with more horses. Both engines were later replaced with the S54 engine variant which are a lot more difficult to get hold of (the UK for example imported under 80 in total with the S54).

This is the link to Wikipedia for some more information on it.

Yep as Gary says it is the early ///M version you have which was superseded is around 2001 where the S54 engine was introduced. Yours is basically an updated M52 engine which made 192bhp in standard trim so BMW squeezed around an extra 50bhp out of it by boring it out and a few other tweets. The good thing though is they are a very reliable bulletproof engine which doesn't need any specialist servicing unlike mine which needs a little TLC.

got that ... Im an early Guy so everything fits well .. hah
can you gents tell me how many liters mine is ..
is it a 2.8 or 3.0 or 3.2
one thing I do know is that it's almost as fast as my C$ Corvette chevy 350 small block that has some high flow heads , long tubed headers and a reasonable Lunati Cam in it .. I wouldnt know which car to bet on in a drag race but the Zed car would kick ass in a road race ... yippee
glad I traded the Vette for the 928S v8 car

Hi Lawrence, as far as I'm aware your car will be 3.2 litres. But please don't quote that until someone who has one tells you the same. Mine's a mere baby at 2.0 litres.
