Hi guys,

So a bit of an update... The Z went to its new home yesterday :(

And my 'new' car arrived; an '05 Civic, 1.6 Auto. Yes, I'm officially an OAP ;)

The interior is lovely, but I need to update the headunit to give me aux/by capabilities, and don't want to cause a disco in the car.

What are the recommendations for affordable, discrete, ''stock" looking stereos?

I know Clarion do one. Are there others?

Becker and Continental are out of the question...

TIA,
David

Just pop into your local Halfords and see which one takes your fancy.

We got a really nice kenwood in there. Not flashy but has dab, Bluetooth, aux and USB

I fitted this alpine but I wanted more old school. It has an iPod lead but the older type, I must be in the minority who still likes cd,s. It lights up orange though and sound great.

If you don’t use CD’s then look at the mechless range from a Alpine - under £100 but still great sound quality and Bluetooth phone kit / usb phone port.

Re the cars you really do go from one extreme to the other - 3.0si to 1.6 auto Honda!

Do you have an installed picture? Looks like it would fit well in the Z3 dash.:)
Sorry - I didn't buy it in the end (or haven't yet anyway) - the exisitng unit works ok apart from an iffy cd player which I may get fixed instead (but its as much as a new unit)!
