hi all,

I am preparing to install a getrag 6 speed and a 3.64 diff in my M Roadster.
I have done extensive research on this conversion and understand the typical driveshaft options.
I have a couple ideas and need to know the exact length of the front section of the Z3M driveshaft. I have not been successful at finding this dimension anywhere. I know the legnth of th entire driveshaft.

I am curious if anyone has a driveshaft out of a car to measure, or already happens to know the dimension.
I need the measurement from the flat surface the guibo touches all the way to the very end.

Thanks in advance for any assistance

Im not sure on the length but I do know that the driveshaft needs to be cut down.

There is a forum member, ragerover, on z3mcoupe.com who has carried out the 6 speed conversion and may be able to help

How much does it need to be shortened by? The propshaft is on a sliding spline with a locking ring so you do have a degree of adjustment in length.

Thanks, I am aware that the shaft needs to be about 4” shorter. I have an idea that could save me time and money and I really need to know the actual length of the front section of the Z3M driveshaft
