Hello all sorry if been asked before.
After my last service i have worked my way through advisors. As title I got slightly perished rubber on front drop links not play but slight perishing .
So as a precaution now my cars really up to scratch I thought I might as well do one of the last things mentioned.
My question which front drop links would you advise? I have seen Fia on eBay at a good price for 2 or should I pay more for Meryl?
Many thanks.
Tracy.

The Meyle HD ones seem best quality as the rubber perished quickly on the cheaper ones I fitted. Don't forget only fully tighten the lower bolt that goes through the bush to the drop link and the bolt to the control arm only when the weight is back on the wheels or you will twist the rubber once the car is back on the ground.

Thanks for replying.
Looks like Meyle ones and another trip to garage to fit sounds tricky to tighten up.
Many thanks all.
Tracy.

A very good point Brian, and one which is very often missed as most repairs in garages are done on 2 post lifts which don't allow this to happen. I often raise this with work but it goes in one ear and out of the other.

Tony.

Park the car on some blocks and as long as the bolt was done up hand tight it is only just over a turn to fully tighten, so you can reach under and pull the spanner tight or find a friendly garage with a 4 post ramp.

Alternatively, have the car on jack stands, put your jack under the hub and jack it up until the suspension starts to take the weight off the jack stand, then tighten the bolt.
