An interesting idea Tony, going to be very expensive though. Using electricity to produce fuel for non electric vehicles.

They are really doing it for the niche performance manufacturers - main stream manufacturers wont factor in ICE drive chains any more.

Seen that, indication on pricing in here . . .

Yeah - production costs down to $8 a gallon by 2026 - add duty, Vat and profit and it wont be cheap.

However had this been explored further before pushing down EV route, things could have been so different

Germany flexes its muscles and Brussels backs down again. However I always thought it a foolish notion for us to ban them well before the EU.
Thatws just the Gove wanting to show we'll be the first, and possible back firing on us.

As the article mentions we're just giving the Chinese car manufacturing a big boost, along with other Asian countries, at the detriment of others vloser to home.

Hey ho we'll just keep paying more due to the wonderful ideas our politicians come up with again.

They want to trial hydrogen in domestic heating, but add another levy onto our bills to pay for it - keep increasing our bills with levvies - the renewables levt should be removed since they are making vast profits.

Sorry for the thread drift Tony.
