1. Are those roof seals good for keeping the weather out, or where are the weak points to look out for?

2. Is it advisable to use a top cover anyway as I do with my Z3, and would the Z3 top cover fit the Z4?

Thanks in advance
KF

Yes, no and definately not - have you seen the difference in size between the Z3 and E89?

All I would do is make sure all the seals are clean and dry, then a liberal spray of Silicone Spray. That’s all I do on our Eos Pete.

Tony.

Yes I have. The Z4( E89) is 8" longer and 4" wider give or take, so I assume the cabin roof is bigger too, but just asking.

Thanks for that Tony, I thought that would be the case but interested in anything else to look out for roof wise. The wiring I see can be an issue I see, myself and RockyDave have both had that problem on our Tourers too. Good old heat shrink and hot air gun eh! ;)

Out of interest are you replacing the Z3 or keeping both?
I've just done the same as you with the intention of parting with the Z3 in the summer but I am already having 2nd thoughts :bashhead:

Keeping both buddy. I'd never part with my go kart Z3, done too much to it and I doubt the Z4 won't stupid grin on my face...ha! However, when not allowed to be a hooligan (with the wife) I'll take the Z4. With what you have hinted in mind, I've got the option to rid. ;)
