Electric Cooling Fan on Air Conditioning

Any help welcomed, I have a broken cooling fan that is in front of the radiator on a system that has air conditioning (double radiator). Any suggestions for a replacement? Z3 2.2ltr 2001.

I would suggest putting your car details on Realoem and looking up the fan in the heating and cooling section and obtaining the part number https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/pa...&sg=60&diagId=64_0747&q=64546905617&series=Z3

and do a Google search 64546905617 oem not cheap though. Ask @spurs fan in a coupe if he has any from a breaker.

Andy @spurs fan in a coupe is currently breaking a 2.2 so may have one.

I do indeed have a 2.2 in for recycling

The motor has collapsed. It seems a couple of the glued magnets around the outside of the shaft windings broke away, probably a bearing failure.

Looks as though the motor seized. Not uncommon on forward facing A/C fans.

Yes, and being mainly an air con fan it doesn't run that much in the UK, that isn'ta help!
