Car electrics are a bit of a mystery to me so any help would be greatly appreciated! Indicators, hazards, brake lights, fogs and main beam are no longer working, but driving lights are and won't switch off. Thought it could be the light switch on the dash but why no indicators? Can only find wiring diagram for Z3 in resources (but probably the same?) Thanks in advance! :)

Just have a look how old your battery is , the Z4 does suffer from very weird electrical issues if the battery is on its way out

Hi Mark Its only a couple of years old and I did check the voltage - around 11.8 v even though its not been used for a while. I'll have a go at disconnecting the battery though

Have you checked for anything else not working? Such as heater fan, A/C, etc. When the battery gets very low it's possible for the car to go into "transport mode" which cuts out some systems. You need a code reader to deactivate the transport mode if that proves to be the problem.

Tony.

Going by your description above possibly, the 'processor' has failed inside the 'Lights Module' if so you'll need to replace it.
The light module controls and monitors the vehicle lights. Information is received and sent via the data bus K-CAN SYSTEM.

Function defects with failure of the processor:
Working low beam, No turn indicators and hazard warning lights, no high beam, no headlight flasher, no fog lights, no rear fog light, no third brake light
No communication across the K-CAN SYSTEM.
