I am wanting a full set of badges for my June 2001 2.2i roadster VIN LL73078 but am having issues ensuring I get the right sizes and part numbers. If someone could assist I will greatly appreciate it. I though all these badges would be identical except for the ///M.

I am getting carbon fibre [cf] blue/white set from Japan - good quality. Grills, front, back, steering wheel, 4 wheel caps. Wheels are style 64.

My measurements and suspected part # [bmwfans]:

01. bonnet badge, 78mm id and 82mm ed, 51 148 132 375 [same part # as quoted by CF supplier]
02. boot badge, 78mm id and 82mm, 51 148 399 309 [identical to the bonnet badge by the looks of it]???
03. gills badges, 77mm?, bmwfans calls it a trunk lid badge 51141970248
04. steering wheel badge, 43mm, cannot find part but i think the replacement is just stuck on over the top????
05. wheels insert badges, 58mm, 36 131 181 080 but says D=64

Has anyone else ordered a full set of CF that they are really happy with? Please let me know.

I know @t-tony has changed his wheel centre caps for carbon ones, don't know if he has done the rest of the car though.

Hi coops, I can get you some info tonight. Did wheels, bonnet, boot, sides and steering wheel.

Tony.

Hey mate, I see you got some info already but I promised so here goes.
78mm for gills from qwerky_uk
45mm for steering wheel from sngb.67
bonnet and boot ones from zafzone ( not sure if still selling them or not)
68mm for wheels from with.a.twist.of.lemon

All ebay sellers. Wheel ones were good but I just put several laps of electrical tape round them just to make a better fit.

Hope this is of use mate, all the best, Tony.

Hi Cooper,

See my PM for more info.

I did have mine from eBay as Gaz says although the seller is no longer registered. You can find loads on eBay, just search the sizes.

The bonnet and boot badges are both 82mm (had to replace twice though as these tend to fade but only around a tenner for a pair)

The side gills are 78mm (normally hard to source but can be found from Chinese sellers)

The steering wheel is 45mm (this sticks on top of the original badge)

The wheel caps are 68mm (for most wheels *not style 64) - better to get the ones where the backs look like the OEM badges as they fit better, the ones with 5 'lugs' tend to not fit as good.

Hope this helps, please double check the sizes before you buy as these measurements are of the top of my head!

I got the roundels for the boot and he bonnet over the weekend from a company in Australia. They were only $10 each but come with a 12 month guarantee so what the heck - I ordered 2. The boot badge had to be destroyed to get it off it was so tight :)

They look great and I am really happy with them.

Now I need the stickers for the wheel hubs as they are really starting to bother me.

Hi Cooper, best of the season to you and yours! Try eBay UK as they are there most of the time. Sorry, can't figure out how to get actual link to items on my iPhone but you know the routine by now!! Good luck, JIM

People,

I am coming back to this because according to the parts catalog my wheel centres are 64.5mm fo the style 64 rim with part number 36131181 080.

I have measure every which way even with my tongue hanging out to the left and I cannot get a reading greater than 60mm and this is from the start of the hole to the other side. the sticker must be even a bit smaller than that!

Will someone with the same rims please have a measure and confirm or even better, if you have replaced your stickers please give me some information? Thanks in advance.
