Dropped the EV off at Kwik-Fit this morning for MOT - got a call later on to say good news it passed MOT, bad news our mechanic has driven it in to another customer's car
They have to sort it on their insurance - I have to deal with what will undoubtedly be a sh@# resolution processSad news. Whats the procedure in this case?
has he any sort of shop insurance that will pay, or its up to him to compensate?
This takes me back to having a garage in Gainsborough back in the day. A guy called Harry used to call in and his take on the Kwik- Fit thing was "You can't get thicker than a big fat f***er". Looking at the YT pic, the guy on the right.Good news it passed the MOT, the bump……………..
recognise any of these guys from the garage?

Don't worry I've done all my schooling as far as cars are concerned - it only went there because that's where the lease company told me to take it. Funnily enough last year they told me to take it to Halfords.Hope that teaches you never ever use Kwik-Fit, same for Halfords, find yourself an independent MOT garage preferably one that only does MOT's and no repairs so they won't be looking for work during the test. If it requires any work look for a good known garage or DIY if you are handy with spanners.
Reminded me of another sketch from Chewin The Fat ~ I screenshot the picture below because it had the Z3 in itrecognise any of these guys from the garage?
Strange the brakes failed so soon after passing the MoT.good news it passed MOT, bad news our mechanic has driven it in to another customer's car
Think it's the same with any job - most people couldn't give a toss but there are always a few diamonds who are willing to do whatever it takes. Often as much for their own personal satisfaction as that of their customerIn fairness I will have to say something in Halfords defence and customer service. I had left things late for the cooper s mot and got it in on April fools day of all days, the tester had found a broken clamp on the exhaust but instead of failing it he phoned someone up popped out in his van picked it up and installed no advisories. A smashing chap did not want anything but left some cash in appreciation for a few beers.
Anyway I hope they do the right thing here.
