Fault Code Reader / Reset

Can anyone recommend a fault code reader which will fit a 1999 Z3M which can also reset any faults once they've been fixed?

The C110 Scanner should work fine and they are about £35 to £40 on eBay.

I've used one and it's very straight forward to use.

It's more that it's at least half the price that an independent garage will charge you to read them, and a small fraction of what a dealer would charge. You may not know what the fault code is when you find one, but you've saved a ton on your diagnostics to start with! More money for the replacement parts, or beer - whichever fixes it first

I just ordered one of these after reading a recommendation form the members. I took option #5 for my car. Great price and seems to do everything, read and reset and program eveyy module!

+1 for the c110 its a great bit of kit and easy to use can check all the modules if you use the round adapter

I have used the C110 and it works fine. I also have purchased a WiFi connector that goes into the cable adaptor so I can diagnose faults using my iPhone. The software is available free online. I always though go back to using the C110 to main resets, Airbag lights etc.

Just bought a C110 scanner and adaptor as I've had a few faults recently and a service reset tool.

If you check several sellers you'll find some sell both cables as a set for the same price as a single cable. HTH. JIM

I bought the C310 and the 20 pin cable, but I can get this to reset the service lights. I'm presuming it's the oil option that does this I keep on getting a communication error screen.

In the item description says is for '97- '02. It works for a '96 1.9 for sure?
