Routers are fun for those type of things. I have some boring drawers to make now I’m back.

@the Nefyn cat do you have a website where I can see your art work (which is what you produce)?I am pretty sure the wife would love some of this...

Not a website as such, but I put stuff on here because I can. Being an old git it amazes me that someone like me can film stuff at home and put it somewhere that other people can see, and all for free. Wasn't like that when I were a lad.:thumbsup:There's a shiny new video going up right now.

Really nice!

So, do you sell the items (I suppose)? How do you advertise them, or is is it some sort of local craft shop?

I love working with wood, but it's normally floors I do on a DYI basis, not this clearly skilful stuff you are doing.

Mostly by word of mouth, friends/neighbours and the like, and there's a shop in Pwllheli that sells some stuff for me. It makes my life a lot easier if I don't have to worry about postage and packing, the unicorns are quite sturdy but also a bit fragile, if you see what I mean. Bulky, too. The boxes are probably better for that sort of thing, but I've only recently started making them, and have got rid of all of them locally so far.
And as for "skillful", very kind of you, but I'm strictly an amateur di**ing around in a shed.;)

On the strength of the first of these boxes I made I got orders for another three, not needed till Christmasish, but might as well get on with them now. Finished the first two earlier tday, so here's an exclusive first look at someone elses' presents.

The other one's been started, but I've only got a little shed:(. Plus there's a radical departure coming, based on a horses' head. Should be interesting working out how to do it, and that's the fun part.

And then I thought why not combine the horsey-themed stuff and the jewellery boxes, so I did. Because I can. No buyer yet, mostly something to do with only finishing it this morning, and I can see ways of making it better, but I'm happy, and that's what matters. To me, anyway.

After returning the drawers to Gary with runners attached he got them stained and put in place.

This is the cabin bed he built for Izzy

Which will convert to a more traditional 4 poster bed when she's grown up more.

Couple of coats of Danish oil should sort that out.
Paint the dog with Danish Oil. Why didn't I think of that. That'd shut him up.

On the other hand - make roughly schnauzer-shaped lump of wood with lighter coloured eyebrows and beard and we're half way there. People, including me, would pay good money for that.
