As you might be aware the little plastic seat clips have a tendency to break over time. One of the great things about this forum is that a member called Southernboy has made some very nice brackets in either Black or Chrome. I went for the Black ones.
I hope the attached shows you how easy it is to fit these.

I hope the attached shows you how easy it is to fit these.
Fitting SouthernBoys ‘Z’ seat clip strengtheners.
Items required:
- Southernboys ‘Z’s x2 in either Black or Chrome finish.
- The small screws supplied with the above.
- A low speed drill
- 2mm very fine drill bit
- A small cross head opticians type screwdriver for the small screws
- Small bit of masking tape.
- Line up your seat clip and secure together with a small bit of masking tape so the edges line up. (Original before photograph 1)
- Hold the ‘Z’ in place and drill through the holes so that you just mark the surface. You may wish to remove the seat belt and tape so that you don’t damage it when doing the following. (See photograph 2.)
- Remove the ‘Z’ and drill the holes at a slight angle so that the screw hole is square to the surface. Now remember to replace the seat belt back into the bracket. (See photograph 3).
- Place the ‘Z’ in place and carefully by hand screw into place. Do not over tighten the screws as you might end up with loose screws. (See photograph 4)
