On a scale of?
As I said "Making a difference" , and lo and behold today a prime example.

I tested a Hyundai Getz at lunchtime and the emissions failed badly on high CO. The owner was disappointed as he'd just "thrashed" it up and down the by-pass.
Getz. 1..jpg

Almost 3 times the limit after a full Cat test and oil temperature taken. The man then puts in a bottle of Forte petrol treatment and gives the car a blast up the by-pass. When he returned I completed exactly the same test as at lunchtime with an improved reading on fast idle CO but slightly raised idle CO as below.
Getz. 2..jpg

Only 2.3 times the limit now, so he said I'll give it on more go and if that fails it's scrap (not wanting to fit a new Cat) Another bottle of Forte and another run up the by-pass, last chance saloon,

Same test, same oil temperature on 2nd fast idle test (full Cat test) and it passes, albeit on the limit. No new Cat and only £30 spent.

May not work for every vehicle but this proves that it can and does work.

I use a similar product called Dipotene which local MOT testers swear by for getting emissions down for and MOT and many use it in their own cars. If your petrol / diesel car has failed its MOT on emissions then its fairly likely that Dipotene will get it through. However, my car has never had issues with emissions at testing time, even prior to using snake oil, but I put some in twice a year because I get it really cheap through my brother and hope that it will keep the fuel system and cat clean. At the price I get it at its well worth a punt but I can't say that I have noticed any difference in performance or economy... like taking vitamin supplements I suppose, you never know if they are going to work but want to believe they do.

It would be interesting to try it on @Grumpy Z, which has a history of fails on emissions,

We did mate last month on mot day. It made no difference with regards to emissions figures but we're pretty certain the lamda has gone so it can't really be judged on mine mate. I really must get a new one fitted. The list of things to do keeps growing! :(:(

We had two more patients today, 1 of which it helped and 1 it didn't. I didn't get a chance to reprint the results but I hope to tomorrow.

That's exactly what I call it at work Mike, but having said that I do rate it.

Tony.
How does it compare to other treatments such as Redex for instance.

I honestly can't comment, unless you can find a comparison online somewhere. All I base my thoughts on is what I see right in front of me at work. I does though only heal the sick, it don't raise the dead !!
