I also paid 104.9 at Sainsbury's on Sunday for Super, but it appears they are trying to recover the reduction on petrol ---the diesel has gone up to 108.9p It was down at 106.9 previously.
I am noticing a large variation now in fuel prices , a local Shell is 103.9 for UL and Derv but another Shell is 103.9 petrol and 109.9 derv.
I also noticed a BP garage at 111.9 petrol and 119.9 derv---no it was not on a motorway, only customers were trucks.
Asda are at 99.7 for UL did not see derv.
But unfortunately I can not see the low oil price as being good[for uk plc] if it goes on long term, the north sea oil will be too expensive to extract and it does keeps a lot of jobs going, and produce a lot of revenue. I am retired and have never worked in the oil industry.

Yes I paid 99.4 in Asda this morning for petrol :p

It's good for people that don't work in the oil business :)
But for some like my family it's bad news :)
Nearly all the oil companies in Great Yarmouth have closed down :)
Hundreds of people have lost their job :(
I'm sorry to say ........ :)
I wish the petrol prices would go up a bit ;)
As I want Alan to keep his job ;);)

Not according to the currency converter. I rounded up to £1 that you are paying. Your £ is very strong vs the CDN $ right now! This morning we we at $.72.19 against the American $. So to buy $1 American would cost me approx $1.30 CDN.

I passed a regular garage (didn't recall the brand) selling UL at 99.9p on the A5 near Tamworth today. That's a whopping 10p/L less than our local Esso.

There you go Jim, you are at $0.7219. Now I get what you're meaning. We use 0. as a rule not . I wouldn't want to be paying £46 a gallon?:)

But unfortunately I can not see the low oil price as being good[for uk plc] if it goes on long term, the north sea oil will be too expensive to extract and it does keeps a lot of jobs going, and produce a lot of revenue.
If they stop extracting, the oil is not lost, it will be there for another day when prices rise. It won't get abandoned forever. I spent nearly 15 years in the oil & gas industry, bailing out about 14 years ago. When I started in the industry there were fields in the North Sea that were considered to be non-viable or too small to bother with. Some existing ones were due to expire and be capped. But improvements in technology subsequently made those fields viable to extract and kept existing ones running longer. In the early days unmanned platforms, water injection and subsea wellheads were rare if used at all in the North Sea. That changed.

Some of my old colleagues are being made redundant, a few have decided its a good time to retire. Others are working reduced days and reduced day rates. But, there will always be a requirement for their skills somewhere in the world and the ones that are prepared to travel and do longer trips are working. When the dollar barrel rate creeps up again, production will get ramped up again in the North Sea.

In the meantime, it is our duty to consume Super Unleaded and support the workers!

Hi smiffy, I don't know any better, been in it since 1983, worked direct for a lot of company's on the service side, Schlumberger etc and have also done a lot of day rating abroad and seeing as you are in Lowestoft, you will probably know a couple of my old budys.

A friend of mine is paying £17 to brim his 4x4 petrol in Dubai at the minute.
Being in the haulage industry I have seen far to many firms go to the wall due to the price of diesel. They can not compete with the eastern block firms coming in with the 2000 litre tanks filled up before crossing and under cutting the UK hauliers. I agree with @Shelly our oil workers need to keep their work but so do our lorry drivers. I think around the £1 a litre will be OK for all including us. It's a fair price and hopefully people get to keep their jobs.
