Hi all,

I have found a battery monitor that I am very pleased with

It's the Sealey BT2020, as seen below.

It connects to an app on my phone via bluetooth, where it can track the voltage, in live time, and has some other feature like a battery health check and crank test etc. It stays permanently powered off of the battery. Highly Reccomend

Sealey - £38 Amazon - £27

PS - I don't make anything off this, just thought others would benefit from it

So you are using a device to monitor your battery charge that is using your battery power to tell you your battery charge?
If you leave it connected, it will keep telling you your battery charge is going down, that is certain.

Sorry, but don't get the benefit of this.

I can understand your concern, however according to ai an armed Z3 car alarm used 50x the energy and the digital clock in the centre console uses about the same as the monitor.

This thing is useful for me as I cannot drive my car for a while so I like to have the piece of mind of not letting my battery run too low

Chris.

Why not just put a smart charger on it? That will add power and monitor, not use power.

Thanks for the recommendation Chris, I have been considering getting one of these too, so good to read a real review rather than an Amazon bot.

@Pond it's not practical/possible for everyone to leave their car plugged into the mains 24/7, this is a great 'off-grid' alternative.
