Dear All,

Thank you for this forum and the welcome. I am from South Africa, I live an hour out of Cape Town and have very recently acquired one the last remaining Z1's in South Africa (Green 1989). it has been badly neglected and is in a "barn find" condition but I have it running and have done some work on it to make it road worthy.

I am hoping to restore it to a reasonable usable std and enjoy it together with my Z4 and Z3

I know I am going to ask for some assistance with part numbers and sourcing and will appreciate the help.

a bit about me: My wife and I have been married 20 years and we have two adult kids. I am mad about BMW cars and bikes and the driving roads here are some of the best in the world.
