My 1999 @.8 Z3 Roadster. The heater fan only works on 4 and I believe it is the control resistor that needs replacing. Where is it and how do I access it. I have looked at several youtube but all different and not for my car. Can anyone help please.

I think it is known as a "hedgehog". It's either behind the glove box or radio aperture I believe. Doubtless someone will confirm.

Quite a common problem.

Just to confirm, there are 2 locations for the blower resistor depending if you have AC or not.

Non AC = passanger footwell, tunnel side.
AC = below the wiper cowling.

The blower resistors are different parts depending upon the location.
